Difrax has developed a bottle teat for each stage of your baby’s growth. Difrax therefore offers a wide range of bottle teats: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large.

The various sizes of bottle teat provide the ideal feeding rate for your baby.  All Difrax baby bottles are supplied with a size S bottle teat (Small) as standard. If your baby is drinking from this S bottle teat too quickly, we recommend the Dental teat.

The Dental bottle teat is specially designed for babies who tend to choke easily or for whom the standard S size is too fast-flowing. The bottle teat has a flat nozzle with a little hole at the top. This distributes the milk / formula around the mouth more evenly before swallowing. This can prevent choking and makes it easier for your baby to pace its feeding.

It is important that your baby takes 15-20 minutes to finish a bottle - at this rate, your baby can absorb the food properly and his or her natural need to suckle is satisfied.

The Dental bottle teat fits on all models of the Difrax S-bottle Natural (170ml, 240ml and 250ml)
and is suitable for use from birth, as well as for premature babies and babies with reflux.

Tip: A useful tool for establishing the correct position for the Dental bottle teat on the bottle is the 1-2-3 ring.
