Always check the temperature of the food before feeding. Do this by placing a drop on the inside of your wrist. It should not cause a burning sensation. If it does, then the food is too hot! Overheating can be caused by limescale buildup on the temperature sensor system of the heating element.
To prevent this, make sure to clean the heating element thoroughly after each use and descale it regularly.
