A well-fitting breast shell is essential for comfortable and efficient pumping. The set includes a 24 mm breast shell and three extra insert sizes (17, 19, and 21 mm). To determine the right size, measure the size of your nipple, as this determines the size of the breast shell, not the size of your breast.
Measuring your nipple is easy: use a measuring tape or ruler to measure the diameter of the nipple at the base, excluding the areola. You may need different sizes for each breast, so measure both nipples.
Please note the following:
- The nipple should be able to move freely in the shell.
- Ensure that the areola is not pulled into the shell.
- When placing the shell, a 1-2 mm space around the nipple is normal.
- A shell that is too large or too small can cause pain, skin damage, and poor milk production.
- Never pump for more than 30 minutes.
