The different sizes of bottle teats ensure the ideal feeding pace for your baby. All Difrax baby bottles come with a size S (Small) bottle teat as standard. If your baby is drinking too quickly with this S teat, we recommend the Dental teat.
The Dental bottle teat is specially designed for babies who tend to choke easily or for whom the standard size S flows too fast. This teat features a flat nozzle with a small hole at the top, which helps distribute the milk or formula more evenly in the mouth before swallowing. This can help prevent choking and makes it easier for your baby to pace the feeding.
It is important that your baby takes 15 to 20 minutes to finish a bottle. At this pace, your baby can properly process the feeding and fulfill the natural need to suck.
The Dental bottle teat fits all models of the Difrax S-bottle Natural (170ml, 240ml, and 250ml) and is suitable from birth, including for premature babies and babies with reflux.
